We do not produce wine, we squeeze grapes...for everything else we have to be thankful to God, Nature and our 150 years of expertise.
NAVIP was founded in 1848 as an enterprise for a production and sale of wine, brandy and other alcoholic drinks, as well as soft drinks and juices.
The first cellar of NAVIP was built at Zemun near a great consumption center - Belgrade.
After Greece, this area has the earliest plantations of fruit-trees and of grapevines in Europe. Special qualities of this soil, with the variety, abundance and quality of its fruits made it possible that NAVIP, as the producer of wine, brandy and juices, became known all over the world.
NAVIP organizations are located in well known wine growing regions:
Srem with sub-region of Fruska Gora
Nisava-Juzna Morava with sub-regions of Nisava
Leskovac and Vranje: Sumadija-Velika Morava with sub-regions of Mlava
Jagodina Belgrade
Oplenac and Timok with sub-region of Krajina.
These wine-growing regions are located in very favorable geographical areas with different climate conditions with enough precipitation and sunny days during the vegetation period. In some of these wine-growing areas, such as a Fruska Gora, viticulture started as early as in the 4th century of our Era. It is presumed that Roman Emperor Probus had the vines brought and planted in this area.
NAVIP has access to 2.200 hectares of vineyards and cellar capacities of 60 million liters.
For bottling such a large quantity of beverages NAVIP has secured modern equipment, with capacity that exceeds 50.000 bottles per hour. In the past 10 years NAVIP's average annual turnover was more than 64 million liters of various beverages.
NAVIP is a traditional exporter. Its largest exports are to Germany, Great Britain, USA, Canada, Japan, Poland and Russia.
NAVIP offers a complete transfer of technological services in the field of processing and bottling of wine as well as expertise and experience in vinification.
Such a transfer of technology was successfully implemented between NAVIP and Beijing Winery (China) in 1987.
The tradition that NAVIP maintains thought the years in production of wine and other alcoholic beverages has been confirmed at many domestic and international fairs where NAVIP has gained many reputable awards for quality of its products.
NAVIP is an exporter of 15 million liters of beverages per year, which makes about 30% of NAVIP's production.
